Qualifications:

• Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2009
• La Leche League Leader since 2001 - provided phone and in person breastfeeding support
• Wife to Scott and mother to 3 children, all who have been breastfed successfully and for extended times. 
• Lactation Consultant in a hospital setting since 2009, part time.
• Registered Nurse since 1992

Lactation Consultation:

On-location professional lactation consultations.

$80 Initial consultation. Typical visit is 1.5 to 2 hours, up to 3 hours.

• Includes small nipple cream, feeding sryinges and cups. Other supplies are additional.
• Baby scale and hospital grade pump rental available in affliliation with the consultation at an additional cost. 
• Insurance reimbursement forms will be provided, although reimbursement is not promised or guaranteed.
• Professional report sent to your baby's health care provider as needed.

$50 Preventative visit. For consultations that involve initial support postpartum. This includes latch assist, infant oral exam, breast exam and basic teaching. This is for the mother/baby just making sure that breastfeeding is going well, not for those with problems.Typical visit is one hour or less. Follow-up phone calls and emails are at an additional cost. See below.

$50 Follow-up visits. After the initial consultation and further support/assistance is needed. Typical visit is  1 hour, up to 1.5 hours

$20/email phone call For phone/email support beyond initial problem.

Postpartum Doula Services:

$18/hr with a four hour minimum. Services provided during the day and evening. Nighttime services are not available at this time, but I can start the night out to help teach safe sleep. Light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, help with other children, errands, breastfeeding information and support, etc. can be provided according to the needs and mutual agreement between the mother and I.
If hired as a doula, I am not serving as a Lactation Consultant too. That service is separate and can be provided at an additional cost. Lactation Consultations are more involved, require documentation, and a full assessment/plan. I would be glad to provide basic breastfeeding information and support as part of postpartum doula service.
