Babywearing

See Babywearing International's website for benefits and safety of babywearing. I wore all three of my children and it was a lifesaver! My son did not like his carseat in the stores and wanted to be carried.  He also didn't last through a store without needing to breastfeed. I learned how to breastfeed and carry my children to make parenting easier and to help meet my children's needs. It helped to establish trust and helped my children to gain confidence and independence. See La Leche League's website for babywearing information. "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" 8th edition, is an excellent book on this and many other topics related to breastfeeding and parenting.
